- What are the requirements for driving a buggy in Gran Canaria?
In Gran Canaria, you need to have a driver’s license with 2 years of experience and present the original valid driver’s license to drive a buggy. Generally, you must also carry a credit card to guarantee the proper use of the buggies during the tour. Additionally, drivers must wear closed-toe shoes.
- What requirements must the passenger meet?
The passenger must be at least 8 years old and 135 cm tall. If they are underage, parents must sign a parental consent form before the tour begins.
- Is driving a buggy easy?
Buggies are automatic, and with the guide’s instructions before the tour starts, driving the buggy will be very easy
- Can we take turns driving the buggy?
Yes. If both drivers meet the requirements, they can take turns during the route stops.
- What tips and recommendations should I consider when booking and taking a buggy tour?
To make the most of a buggy tour, consider these tips:
- Wear closed-toe shoes and warm clothing to protect yourself from the wind, as buggies don’t have windows. Expect to end up quite dusty, so don’t wear your best clothes.
- Apply sunscreen before starting the tour.
- Do not take the tour if you are pregnant or have severe back problems.
- Book the tour well in advance to guarantee your buggy.
- How many people can ride in each buggy?
Each buggy can accommodate 1 or 2 people. In the case of a family with minor children, each parent must ride with one child.
- How many vehicles are there in each buggy safari?
Usually, there are no more than 10 buggies on each tour, and if there are more, there will be an additional buggy with a guide.
- Does the tour duration include stops?
Yes. The duration of the tour is the approximate time from beginning to end.
- Will the tour be conducted if it rains?
Yes. Unless there is very intense rain or a storm is forecasted, buggy tours are conducted as usual.
- Why don’t we offer quad tours?
Quads are quite dangerous vehicles, and for safety reasons, we do not offer quad tours.
- Which tour is better?
It depends on what you are looking for. If you just want to have fun driving, the 100% off-road route is your best option. But if you also want to see some beautiful landscapes of the island, you will prefer the route that combines asphalt roads with dirt paths.
Additionally, if you need pickup from your accommodation, choose the route based on whether they offer pickup service in your area.
- Which buggy tour can I book if I am staying in Maspalomas, Meloneras, and Sonneland?
Both routes offer pickup service at your accommodation, whether you are staying in Maspalomas, Meloneras, or Sonneland.
- Which safari buggy should I book if I stay in Playa del Ingles?
Both routes offer pick-up service at your establishment in Playa del Ingles.
- What is the best buggy route if I stay in Puerto Rico, Amadores, Anfi or Arguineguin?
The 100% off-road tour is the only one that offers transfer service from Puerto Rico, Amadores, Anfi and Arguienguin.
- Which buggy tour is most recommended if I am staying in the San Agustín and Bahía Feliz area?
You can book any of the buggy tours if you need pick-up service in San Agustín and Bahía Feliz.
- Which buggy route is most recommended if I live in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria?
If you are staying in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria you will have to come on your own to the Bahía Feliz or San Agustín area, where we can pick you up to do any of the routes.
But if you come by car, we recommend the 100% off-road route because the starting point is closer to Las Palmas and leaves an hour later, so you won’t have to get up as early.
- What is the best buggy route option if I am staying in the Puerto de Mogán area?
If you need a pick-up service from Puerto de Mogán, Playa del Cura or Taurito, the only possible option is the 100% off-road route.
- Are there other islands to enjoy a buggy excursion?
If you are traveling to other islands, check here for buggy tours in Lanzarote, buggy tours in Mallorca and for any buggy tour in Fuerteventura.

Fantastic. I love riding on buggies and this was one of the best excursions that I’ve done. 100% recommended
Very fun and well organized. We were picked up at our hotel in Playa Ingles and the service was excellent the whole time. It was fantastic!
From the time they picked us up at the hotel to when they dropped me back off, it was all great and the tour was really fun. It was a day to remember. The buggy ride among nature allowed us to explore part of Gran Canaria and we had fun at the same time. Recommended.
I wanted to explore Gran Canaria with my boyfriend but I wanted to do something fun, and we loved it. Driving the buggy is super fun and we also passed by some beautiful places. It’s highly recommended.
Great tour but we still have not received the photos that we bought after the tour
Spectacular day and unbeatable fun. I went with my girlfriend and she let me drive, hahaha. Super fun.
Unforgettable. The fear one might have at the start is not having ridden in nor driven one in your life, but the safety tips that the guides tell you help enough. There were 6 of us and half of us had never tried it, but in the end we all felt very comfortable and enjoyed the tour like a bunch of children.
Some friends who had done it last summer recommended this trip to my husband and me, and they were not wrong. They picked us up at the hotel and took us back. It was really fun to drive the buggy and see the island.
