Dolphin and whale watching in Gran Canaria

You should go to see the dolphins if you go to Gran Canaria. I went with my children and my wife because they told us we would definitely see them, and if not then they would give us a ticket to see them on another day, so it was completely guaranteed. We saw many dolphins and even a turtle very close by. It seemed incredible to us that they were only a few miles from the coast.

Stunning. We were surrounded by more than 100 dolphins for 10 minutes.

Definitely something you’ll want to do again. This is the third year that I’ve gone on the boat to see the dolphins, and I have always seen at least one pod of dolphins. I don’t think I’d ever get tired of seeing them.

Brilliant. I have already gone on this trip 4 times and I’ll do it again as soon as I can.

It was great seeing lots of dolphins jumping next to the boat. Getting seasick ruined it a bit. As we headed out to sea it was cold, they gave us some blankets and everything. Not when we came back. The crew was great. Everything was perfect with okgrancanaria.

They met our expectations. We had read the comments from other clients and doubted if they were real but when we went to the boat and saw that it was as described. An experience we’ll remember.

Good trip well organized. Hotel pick up from playa del ingles on time. We did see dolphins which was brilliant and worth it fir us as we didn’t suffer sea sickness the crew were very good on board telling us which type of dolphins that we saw etc. However if u have small children please be aware that the sea journey is rough at times children and adults were being sick And were really bad !! we took anti sea sickness tablets which did help a bit but still felt queasy at times the crew handed out sick bags snd were helpful but think again if you have children or are inclined towards motion sickness it really isn’t worth it if you do . smoking is allowed at the back if the boat which in my opinion should be stopped it didn’t help at all if you are feeling or being sick

A spectacular plan to do as a family. The boat tour was great, we some a kind of small whale and a dolphin pod, and upon returning to the pier we bathed near the coast.

Lovely. We saw 2 different types of dolphins, hundreds of them, and mothers with their calves.

Good although the ship moved a bit. The boat trip was spectacular and we saw a huge pod of dolphins. Fortunately, okgrancanaria warned us to prepare for dizziness because some customers had a pretty bad time.

An experience to share with my children.

Impressive if you take measures not to get seasick. I went with a group of 12 friends and those of us who didn’t get dizzy loved it but the 3 who did vomit and had a terrible time until we returned to port.

Spectacular but unpleasant. Although the tour is very nice and you can see dolphins, it was very unpleasant to see people vomit throughout the trip.

Fantastic. I have recommended it to all my friends for when they go to the Canary Islands

Excellent value- We loved the dolphin trip and saw two pods of dolphins. It was wonderful to see them in their natural environment.

Disappointing. We did the tour on the last day of our holidays on the island and didn’t see any dolphins. They gave us a ticket to go another day but it was of no use to us.

A great plan to go with the children. I went with my three children and even I enjoyed watching the dolphins swim with the boat. Bathing in the sea was the tour’s icing on the cake.

Very good. The staff is very nice. The bad thing is we weren’t prepared for the dizziness and my husband and my daughters had a really bad time. But the staff were very helpful and tried to make them feel better.

Saw dolphins first time. Worthwhile!! We only had to travel 15 minutes out to sea and then had dolphins all around the boat for the next 20 minutes. Amazing adventure. Some incredible pictures taken. ?

Spectacular for whale watching. I went with the intention of seeing dolphins, since that was what they guaranteed, but I was lucky enough to also see a whale. It was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen in my life.

An essential thing to do in Gran Canaria. I’m from Gran Canaria and I thought that this boat trip was only for tourists, but when I went with a group of friends, I was so excited to see dolphins so close to our coast.

It was wonderful, a unique experience, it’s amazing to see the dolphins in front of us, I really enjoyed it, it’s very nice to see them in freedom, I got seasick on the way back, but it was worth it to see the dolphins. I recommend it if you like nature and animals in nature, it was very exciting.

Spectacular to see the dolphins leaping so close to the boat. I don’t remember what kind of dolphins they were, but they approached the boat and swam nearby for some time. Highly recommended.

Awesome. After seeing several types of dolphins so close to the boat, they took us to a place where we bathed. Although the water was cold, you had to jump into the sea to at least post this comment, haha

Book it for the first day of your holidays so you can repeat it. The first day we went out on the boat we didn’t see any cetaceans, so they gave us a ticket to go another day and we saw hundreds of dolphins.

We saw a mother and baby bright whale close to the boat towards the end of our trip which was such an amazing experience. The staff were very helpful and informative and it was easy to park right T the marina. All in all a very successful trip.

Fantastic, but be careful if you get seasick. To see the dolphins you have to leave the coastal area and the boat moves around quite a bit. Although I loved the trip, I saw some people vomiting and having a bad time.

It’s totally worth it, a recommended experience. At first we thought we weren’t going to see anything, you have to be patient. But in the end we saw several dolphins and a rather large turtle on the way back.

No need to go to Norway. There are whales in Gran Canaria too! Although we just saw a whale’s spray, they told us that other times more can be seen. What we were able to see were many, many dolphins.

Very exciting. We had gone 2 days before to Palmitos Park to see the dolphins and we loved it, but on the Spirit we could see them in their habitat, swimming and jumping. Nature at its finest.

Exciting. I didn’t think that we would be seeing so many dolphins together. It was very exciting to see them jump so close to the boat.

Stunning. I had read in other comments that this was an ideal trip for whale-watching, and although I didn’t see any, it was worthwhile for seeing the dolphins.

Totally recommended, the staff is super nice, but if you get seasick take two biodramines to see if you can hold on, as it moves quite a bit. But still, it’s great and different from other activities

We loved it. We went with our 6-year-old daughter, and it was impressive. We saw dolphins up close and for a long time. The boat staff was very friendly. Then they took us close to the coast to bathe in the sea. I totally recommend the tour.

You can’t miss it. If you are staying in Puerto Rico or the southern area, you absolutely must go to the Spirit of the Sea.

A beautiful day. They picked us up at the hotel and took us to Puerto Rico. There we went on the catamaran and loved the tour. We spotted a whale, then a turtle and finally a bunch of dolphins. Spectacular.

Amazing if you do not get seasick. It was incredible to see two different types of dolphin so close, but there were some people close to me who were seasick and had quite a bad time. It was a unique experience.

Don’t even consider think it if you get seasick. The boat trip is very good but only if you don’t get dizzy, for me it felt eternal until we returned.

Perfect for going with friends or family. I went with some friends who had already been on this boat and who had convinced me to go with them. I was so shocked to see more than three types of dolphins during the trip. Incredible.

The second time was the charm. The first day we went out we didn’t see any dolphins but we were able to repeat the outing for free and were lucky to see some dolphins on the second outing.

Very exciting. We came to Las Palmas on a cruise and had enough time to go on the boat and enjoy a marvellous experience watching the dolphins leaping around near the boat.
