Discover things to do in Puerto de Mogan during your holiday in Gran Canaria.
Puerto de Mogan, also known as Little Venice thanks to its canals, is one of the most beautiful and popular locations on the island. This little fishing town and harbor was built in the 80s and is famous for its streets lined with white two-story houses whose balconies are adorned with flowers that stand out on the white background.
This modern town is also known for its charming beach and luxurious sports dock, where some of the best boats of the island are located.
All of this, along with its shops and a variety of cuisine, makes Puerto de Mogan one of the most-visited places on the island.
However, there are many other things to do in Puerto de Mogán if you stay here.
From Mogán, there are many routes and tours from Mogan for getting to know Gran Canaria and its main attractions: Teror, Arucas, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Dunes of Maspalomas, Cloud Rock or Fataga, among others.
You can also go on other types of excursions in other vehicles such as a buggy safari or a jeep excursion.
But in addition to getting to know the island on land, you can also enjoy its coast thanks to different boat tours during the day, with departures from the docks of Mogan, Puerto Rico or Pasito Blanco. And you can do a submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogan, one of the top things do do in Gran Canaria according to our clients.
If you like shopping, we also recommend you to visit the Mogan Market on Fridays, one of the main markets in the South of Gran Canaria.
Also at Puerto de Mogan beach there are some water activities that you can do such as parasailing, jet ski rental, jet ski safari or rent a kayak to visit some of the caves nearby.
All of this makes Puerto Mogan an excellent place for enjoying your holiday as a couple, with friends, alone or with family.
Although it is tempting to stay in this picturesque village, we recommend exploring further. If you are wondering what to do in Gran Canaria beyond the coast, check out our complete guide. From the lush rainforests in the north to the historic district of Vegueta, there is a wide range of experiences waiting for you, and most of our island tours offer direct pick-up from Puerto de Mogan.
I rented a tandem kayak with my girlfriend and we were always laughing, directing each other when we had to move the paddle hahaha. It was worth it.
Amazing. I’m from the Canaries and I always thought that the submarine was only for tourists, but my girlfriend gifted me a trip with her and it impressed me. I recommended it to all of my Friends and when they went they were also pleasantly surprised.
Good offroad tour but not good views
Fantastic. We were a group of girls and the plan was a total hit. The guide, Tony, was very attentive and patient. He took tons of pictures, so funny. Highly recommended.
A must is you’re in Gran Canaria. The boat is perfect and the staff is great. The food is good, the only thing that could be improved is that they have no name brand drinks.
Well-organised excursion. Punctual transport, interesting route, and excellent guide.
Fantastic. We really took advantage of our morning by taking this boat ride, we visited the coast and saw the Mogan market.
Good. The tour, the boat and the crew’s service were very good. The only thing that could be improved for me is the food. It was a bit sparse.
Amazing day out from porto Rico to Porto de Morgan from boarding the Linares blue bird, friendly staff aboard the boat lovely views of cliffs and beaches from the boat and even stopped for 5 mins on return to see the fish below out from the glass bottom. The markets are a must at Porto de Morgan and also the yellow Submarine tour. All in all a pleasant day with lovely friendly people.
One to do again. The atmosphere was top-notch and we had an absolutely brilliant time
