Discover things to do in Puerto de Mogan during your holiday in Gran Canaria.
Puerto de Mogan, also known as Little Venice thanks to its canals, is one of the most beautiful and popular locations on the island. This little fishing town and harbor was built in the 80s and is famous for its streets lined with white two-story houses whose balconies are adorned with flowers that stand out on the white background.
This modern town is also known for its charming beach and luxurious sports dock, where some of the best boats of the island are located.
All of this, along with its shops and a variety of cuisine, makes Puerto de Mogan one of the most-visited places on the island.
However, there are many other things to do in Puerto de Mogán if you stay here.
From Mogán, there are many routes and tours from Mogan for getting to know Gran Canaria and its main attractions: Teror, Arucas, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the Dunes of Maspalomas, Cloud Rock or Fataga, among others.
You can also go on other types of excursions in other vehicles such as a buggy safari or a jeep excursion.
But in addition to getting to know the island on land, you can also enjoy its coast thanks to different boat tours during the day, with departures from the docks of Mogan, Puerto Rico or Pasito Blanco. And you can do a submarine adventure in Puerto de Mogan, one of the top things do do in Gran Canaria according to our clients.
If you like shopping, we also recommend you to visit the Mogan Market on Fridays, one of the main markets in the South of Gran Canaria.
Also at Puerto de Mogan beach there are some water activities that you can do such as parasailing, jet ski rental, jet ski safari or rent a kayak to visit some of the caves nearby.
All of this makes Puerto Mogan an excellent place for enjoying your holiday as a couple, with friends, alone or with family.
Although it is tempting to stay in this picturesque village, we recommend exploring further. If you are wondering what to do in Gran Canaria beyond the coast, check out our complete guide. From the lush rainforests in the north to the historic district of Vegueta, there is a wide range of experiences waiting for you, and most of our island tours offer direct pick-up from Puerto de Mogan.
Amazing! The boat was spectacular and very spacious, with plenty of loungers and beanbags to lay out in the sun while enjoying the views and some drinks. The service, the food, bathing in the sea and even the onboard music were fantastic.
I recommend it to everyone. I’m from Gran Canaria and have tried other boats. I went with some friends and we really enjoyed the atmosphere, the music, the route, the activities and the crew.
Good. I liked the Teror market most of all because it was free time, but the excursion was good in general.
Worth it. For the service, the tour and the views, it’s highly recommended. I was impressed with Mogan and the scenery on the way to Agaete.
Fantastic value for the money. My wife wanted to tour the island and this trip was cheaper than renting a car and doing it ourselves, and we were right to book it. It was more comfortable, they picked us up and dropped us back off at the hotel, and the guide was very friendly and gave us very detailed information during the tour.
Worthwhile. I loved the ambiance of the two markets and getting to know these two towns typical of Gran Canaria.
Highly recommended. Thank you Micaela for recommending this tour to us. The trip was fantastic and we were able to see all the contrasts of Gran Canaria. Teror, Arucas and Fataga were lovely.
Anti-stress therapy. For almost two hours we drove down a road full of stones and instead of riding the brakes, we drove as fast as we could.
An unforgettable experience. If you go to Gran Canaria and want to have a good time, you have to do this jet ski safari
Worth it. I am an experience rider and horse riding Gran Canaria with OK Gran Canaria was a great expererience. Fantastic tour and Service. Thank you!
